Once down at the canal, we collected sea shells, Paisley put them together to form a square in the sand. When she had two edges completed she said “Look mom. It’s half a square. It only needs a bottom and another side and then it will be a full square!” Man, who knew she knew that. So fun to see her learn and grow. Claire picked up a little empty bottle of alcohol. Since we’ve been watching the new Doctrine and Covenant cartoons for Come Follow Me, specifically the one where Joseph says no to alcohol when he has to get his bone cut, I drew the parallel to her and she was enthralled. “No alcohol like Joseph,” she kept repeating. We threw some rocks in the canal, played at the yellow park for a bit, drew with chalk.
On our way home we ran into Jax, Jazz and Yvonne so the girls were pumped to play with them. I was able to get some Therapy Tree calls done, lunch, and a bit of cleaning, so I was grateful for the uninterrupted hour while I knew they were having a blast down with the dogs. Home for lunch. Claire fell asleep on the couch in her Elsa dress while Paisley and I painted several of the rocks we collected that morning. Enjoyed that one on one time with her. Brennan came home, we chatted for a bit, prepped dinner then out for connecting. Girls and I got to look through books at Costco together. Then got to look at all the animals in PetSmart while Brennan was at boot barn. Once home, we had a late night nine o’clock dinner of quesadillas, chicken nuggets, cinnamon rolls while watching Curious Georgeon the iPad. Dinner of champions. Another fun day in the books with Paisley in her Bluey jumpsuit with light up Paw Patrol shoes and Claire in her Elsa dress, high top princess shoes and piggy tail buns. Love them.
