What a fun week we had!

Monday: the girls and I went to the Eastmark splash pad and then a nearby park after. Fun to see them play with other kids and giggle in the water. We met up with dad after work for grocery shopping and family dinner.

Tuesday: I worked at therapy tree clinic while dad stayed home with the girls got the mail, hung out, watched a show. Met up after work for some connecting, circle k drinks and bosa donuts.

Wednesday: the girls and I decided to go play at the zoo! We saw a kimono dragon (they called it a lizard dragon it was adorable), the orangutans (the came right up to the window!!) then off to the petting zoo where we got to pet the goats. Paisley loves calling any white animal with black spots "Spot" haha so we went and petted "Spot" the goat. Then we had a picnic lunch on the bench and went and played at the zoo splash pad. It was so cool, it was shaped like a cave and the inside looked just like stalagmite cave! We ran around and cooled off and played and the girls made some new friends. Dad wanted to get a library card, so we headed off to Redfield library to read books, color, and get him a card so he can go with the girls by himself when I’m at work!

Thursday: I worked at therapy tree clinic while the girls stayed home with dad. After work we had put together an end of year water party at the park for all the primary kids. Paisley had been counting down the days for about three weeks. She was so pumped!! We had a good turn out and everyone seemed to have a great time with the water kickball, balloon, splash pad, slip and slide and water guns. The littles played in the sand. Everyone seemed like they had a good time. Trellany invited us to go swimming at her house afterwards, she has an underground pool with a rock feature water slide. It was so fun! Had some meetings then home for dinner.

Friday: Claire woke up with labored breathing and a hard time finishing her sentences. So we took her into the pediatrician and they ended up doing a breathing treatment on her and sent us home with a nebulizer to do over the next two weeks for coughing and wheezing. She was super brave and a champ. After we left, we went to visit Brennan at work to tell him how it went and she said “ I had a good attitude and wasn’t mean but the doctor made me grumpy.” Isn’t that tender? After we had some snacks with dad we went to Walmart to run some errands, dropped off our library books at the express library, and then had a lesson with the missionaries and Ilia at the church. When dad got home from work, we went and got some movie night treats from the store, then home for dinner and swimming and a movie night of Minecraft. The girls sat with the Colman’s when they were watching them for a weekend a while back and I haven’t been able to talk about it since. It recently came out on prime so we got to watch it as a family-the girls were pumped!

Saturday: slept in, did a family home workout (well, Brennan and I did and the girls just followed along, which is adorable). Then we went and did samples at Sam’s Club. We had a fun family day at the Mesa aquatic center. The girls went nonstop down the big slides, off the diving boards, in the lazy river and whirlpool, and at the baby/pad. Paisley and Brennan went hard. Claire would jump off the steps and go underwater and swim over to me for short distances, and we did the lazy river together and she would float like a little otter. It was hilarious. Claire finally fell asleep on my lap and I got to watch them play for a while, which was super fun.

Sunday: Claire was still filling pretty sick so we didn’t go to church. We slept in and then had a fun adventure day driving up to Roosevelt Lake. The drive was gorgeous. When we got there, we found a fun beach to play at where we dipped our toes in the water, built sand castles, and decorated them with collected seashells, and drew letters in the sand and pictures. Then we got to drive across The largest bridge of its kind in North America. And it was blue, which is Paisley’s favorite color so that made it even better. Then we sat at the picnic tables at the overlook of the dam and the bridge and Paisley got out her green coloring notebook and wanted to sketch some pictures of it and portraits of me and paw patrol while we sat and enjoyed the view and the beautiful weather. Had a fun drive home and pizza together as a family for dinner. She even wanted to help me do the dishes after. She’s the sweetest.
